Comparison · checked 22 August 2026

Litehost vs Whogohost.

Whogohost became GO54 in 2024 and was acquired by HostAfrica in 2025, and a change of owner is a natural moment to re-check what you are paying for and what you get. Below is their entry plan against ours, price first, then what each gives you for it, including the parts Whogohost wins.

Annual billing · no setup fee · renews at the same price

The price

What the entry plan actually costs

Whogohost Premium advertises ₦25,000 a year, which requires catching their 65% off campaign, which runs to 31 August 2026; the regular rate is ₦2,500 a month. At the regular rate it is ₦30,000 a year. Our Premium plan is ₦20,000 a year, in year one and in every year after. Where that makes Whogohost the cheaper bill, the table says so, and the rest of this page is what the difference buys.

The honest part

Where Whogohost is stronger

If one of these is what you need, they are the better choice and you should take it.

A free .com.ng domain with annual plans, renewing free while hosting stays active. We bundle no domain on any plan.

Monthly billing from ₦875 a month on promo. We are annual only.

Nigerian datacentre, materially closer to your visitors in Lagos than our Sydney region.

A 4.8 Trustpilot score across 2,400+ reviews, which is genuinely strong.

The other side

Why people look for a Whogohost alternative

Occasional downtime and slow page loads recur in older reviews; the company says it has since upgraded its infrastructure.

Two changes of identity in two years (the GO54 rebrand, then the HostAfrica acquisition) left some customers unsure who they are actually hosting with.

Drawn from public reviews on Trustpilot and HostAdvice, read 22 August 2026.

Switching

You do not have to take our word for it

Moving from Whogohost is a free managed migration: we copy the site across, you check it on a preview URL, and nothing changes on your Whogohost account until you say go. Most sites are ready to preview within 24 hours.

One price, and it stays that price.

Free managed migration, free SSL and 24/7 human support. Annual billing, no setup fee.
